My Students

I work in a rural school district where my Kindergarten students come to school with little to no prior school experiences. A large portion of my students have not even left the confines of their home area let alone the state.

Our school motto is "WE think WE can, WE know WE can, WE know WE will!

" I want my students to know that no matter what their background is or where they come from that "THEY" can make something of themselves!

The students in my classroom are eager to learn. They have a strong desire to create, explore, discover, and make sense of the world around them.

My Project

The Learning Alive Studio Bundle will provide my students with an interactive way of learning letters, numbers, and reading skills. The twenty-six alphabet cards spring to life in 3D through augmented reality. Each card features an animal that corresponds the letter. . Even reluctant learners enthusiastically respond to the animals, sounds, and interactive learning. Letters Alive builds students' phonemic awareness and phonics skills. There are vocabulary cards to strengthen comprehension and reinforce concepts of print through sentence-building exercises. Math Alive builds students' number sense, computational skills, understanding of data and probability, pattern and shape recognition, measurement skills, and introduces them to concepts of money and time. The materials will also provide a fun way to provide interventions or enrichment to all learners.

In our world of vast technology it is a challenge to keep all of the students engaged during lessons.

The Learning Alive bundle will meet that need of all types of students and keep them learning and engaged at the same time.
