My Students
I teach 3rd Grade ELA in New Orleans, LA to between 70-75 students a year. I have the most eager, rambunctious, and hilarious students ever. There's not a day that goes by when I don't get a good laugh in. My students are mostly low income and very diverse. Although they have being battling educational gaps due Covid-19 and now the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, they have been extremely resilient and eager to soak up every once of learning they can get.
My Project
These Storyworks magazines from Scholastic will help to enhance my scholars reading selections both in print and digitally. They will be able to use these resources in person and virtually, which will be really helpful in these uncertain times.
My students are more engaged in their independent reading activities and less disruptive when they get to choose what they would like to read.
