This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are ready to take their painting skills to the next level with acrylics and their very own canvas board! Students have been working hard learning the elements of art, and have completed various projects, but I would like them to finish the year being exposed to acrylic paint! With the canvas board, brushes, and paint, students will be able to work on a canvas board to demonstrate their artistic skills based on one of the art movements that we are currently learning.

My goal is for my students to be able to continue learning how to mix color using acrylic paint and have them take their canvas board home.

My students continue to walk into my classroom excited to learn about art and more importantly create it as well. I continue to encourage my students to use their unique voice and point of view to create work that represent them and their neighborhood.
