Acquiring English

Help me give my students an iPad to practice speaking and listening to English.

My Project

Over the last 3 months, our school has welcomed over 10 newcomers whose primary language is Spanish. The students are bright and ready to learn. We don’t currently have a Bilingual teacher but have purchased some programs to help build their English fluency in the meantime.

The technology in the iPad will be used to provide instant feedback as students practice oral language.

While we have Chromebooks, they have not been effective and have left the students frustrated when the microphone goes out. Please help our students gain confidence in English as they embark upon a new journey.
