Achievement, Positive Learning, Motivation Supporting Success With Incentives

Help me give my students a reward program that helps support student academics, positive behavior, good citizenship, and healthy attendance. The popcorn and cotton candy machine will support Garfield's mentor/lunch buddy program, parent engagement support nights, and attendance celebrations.

My Project

The popcorn and cotton candy machine will be an incentive to celebrate students who have met their individual academic goals. Students will have the opportunity to set the goals with the teacher, staff member, or mentor and choose the reward. Having a variety of incentives and allowing students to goal set, improves their confidence and builds self-esteem.

Incentives help motivate children to increase their work effort and overall performance in school.

Giving families a sense of ownership so they can support their student's education is our goal. These items are easy to use, parents who volunteer will be able to use them during family nights.

Ms. Turrentine Garfield Elementary School Grades 3-5

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
