My Project

Hello to all, I am a third grade teacher in Sandusky, Ohio. I have been funding my classroom for 8 years. I would love some assistance in helping my students feel like they are being successful! Many, if not most of my students come to school without any supplies. My grant is going to be used to give each one of my students a chance to have all of the supplies they need for the beginning of the year. I want my students to feel like they belong, and that I care about them! One of the larger items on the list is for headphones. There are many things that we do in the classroom that require listening to stories, and interpret languages. It would be very beneficial to my students if they each had a pair of headphones and not have to share with one another, as the ones I have purchased are only going to students who are non-readers. My students come to my classroom and feel warm and welcoming. I love each and every one of my students with everything I have, and I just want them to feel prepared for our day and not feel left out, because they don't have what they need because of financial troubles. These students come to school every single day, for many it is a struggle to even get them in the building. I hope that we can get some of the funding so I can help next year's students!
