My Students

My students are sponges, and I know that sounds cliche, but they are. This year I have students that are wanting to learn about various events in history, give their thoughts when it comes to discussion, and work with their hands.

The school district that I teach in is located in a small coastal town where many students never make it over the bridge to see what else is out there.

I want to expose my students to as must as I can and in order to do this, I have to be able to take them places using different styles of teaching. From Tedtalks, to novels and hands-on learning-my students are ready to explore.

My Project

I will be teaching a mixture of freshman and sophomore students this year. The transition from middle school to high school can be scary and many students are afraid to speak out when they need help, that is were this class set of books come in.

"Everything You Need to Ace English Language Arts in One Big Fat Notebook" has images, diagrams and advice to help students with their reading and writing skills.

These books will aid students in understanding grammar, analyzing texts and how to write a variety of essays. As a teacher, I strive to use different learning styles to help my students understand the information. From PowerPoints, to hands on and self learning; students need to be able to access information in a variety of ways.
