Ace, Ace Baby!

My students need newer volleyballs as the ones we currently have are over 7 years old and a net storage system so it isn't just lying on the ground or on a shelf in the closet.

My Students

Health and fitness are extremely important for today's youth! My students spend so much time indoors and playing video games when they are not in school. My students are energetic during the school day but rarely have the opportunity to get moving outside of school time because of the neighborhood that they live in.

Active movement in school helps to shape students' brains; the same part of the brain that processes learning also processes movement.

There is a mind-body connection that we need to maintain for healthier, smarter students and my students are just as anxious to get better at volleyball with updated equipment.

My school is in an urban community where ninety-eight percent of my students receive free/reduced price lunch.

My Project

To stay competitive, I need to make sure my teams are equipped properly. Volleyballs that are in great condition allows for my students to prepare and practice efficiently whereas worn down equipment does not improve the gameplay of student-athletes but rather teaches them to practice ineffectively.

It can often take time to develop volleyball skills and more equipment gives student-athletes more repetitions.

It challenges the mind and most often results in a satisfying experience. When playing volleyball, players will need continuous feedback to master the skills and have effective plays in volleyball. The volleyballs that I'm requesting will develop my players' ability to learn the fundamental skills, as well as the advanced skills for playing volleyball. After practice, my students will utilize the net storage system to properly store the volleyball net.

My student-athletes will get a well-rounded volleyball program as well as develop their skills to take to a higher level of play. Many of my student-athletes have gone on to high school to play volleyball.
