Accomodating Little Learners

My students need the different types of seating to keep their bodies moving and their mind engaged. The lighting will provide a softer light rather than a harsh florescent light. The radios are for listening centers.

My Students

My fun little first graders come to me so willing and eager to learn. They are so active and love to learn new things. They are constantly exploring and asking so many questions to help them understand the deeper meanings of things.

Through flexible seating, students are able to fidget or move around while still being highly engaged and focused on what we are learning.

My kiddos will be so appreciative of the different seating and lighting accommodations that they will receive through this donors choose project.

My Project

All of the differentiated seating, the balance balls, stools, stand up desk and pillows, will help keep my students bodies moving and their minds engaged. The string lighting that I chose will give my students a warmer and softer light to learn under instead of the bright florescent lighting. The radios are for our guided reading listening center so that my students can hear what it sounds like to be a great reader. They love to listen to other people read and these radios will help more of my students be reached.

Through these accommodations, my students will be more capable of learning because I am giving their energy a different outlet.
