Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title 1 school that serves children from low socio-economic backgrounds. Nevertheless, my students yearn for knowledge. These students love options, but even more than that, they love to be in charge of their learning. Make them comfortable and encourage autonomy to raise achievement!

My Project

Flexible seating will enable students to have choices that will best fit their learning styles. It allows students that struggle with focusing to either leave their desks and go to another space, or wiggle at their desks. Students will be able to choose a seat that fits their needs as they work independently or collaboratively.

Kids love options and love it even more when they can stand, sit somewhere other than a boring chair, and move around in their seats.

My goal is to make them comfortable and increase engagement and student achievement! Ultimately fostering student autonomy.
