I am a first year, first grade teacher. I currently have 17 amazing students on a wide variety of academic levels that range from PreK-5th grade reading levels. My students are so excited to explore and learn, and my goal is to continue to foster that love of learning and help each of them reach their highest potential in the classroom. Our school is a community-driven school focusing on relationships with students first, and my classroom follows those same principles to promote a positive climate and culture.
My Project
I teach 17 incredible students in a high poverty Title I school. My goal for my students is to create a love of learning by giving them hands-on, meaningful, and engaging learning experiences in first grade. They amaze me daily with the way they look at the world and their desire to understand new concepts and ideas. These manipulatives would be an incredible addition to our existing light table to allow me to utilize it for even more things.
These resources would benefit my students in reading, writing, science, and engineering.
