This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching and Learning can be more effective when having the right accessories. A standing desk can help me and my students be more mobile during instruction. With the standing desk, we can adjust the height so that we can work sitting in a chair or when standing up. Some students need to work standing up so it will be beneficial for us to use during instruction. It also allows me to move around and teach from anywhere in my classroom. Also, having a second monitor can be useful when attaching a laptop or a desktop. This way, both the students and I can work on various applications with ease. We would be able to project applications on a second monitor which will make it easier when we work on various programs and projects.

Getting these useful accessories for the classroom will make both my teaching and my students' learning more efficient and more effective.

I am also working with the science teachers to help build the students' reading comprehension of science concepts and content. Being mobile allows me to move around the room more easily and assist the students with their science activities. In addition, using a second monitor, the students can open many programs to see the visuals while reading the passages to grasp the science concepts better. Please help fund these accessories so we can be more productive and more mobile in the classroom during both instruction and student learning.
