My fifth grade students are amazing. My students come to school everyday ready to learn and willing to work hard. My class is made up of many different needs, including students with special needs, limited language acquisition and high achieving needs. My students work hard everyday to succeed. We use many different techniques to achieve success and many of these techniques are thanks to DonorsChoose.
We work hard all year long and having available resources, helps my students become successful.
My Project
Thanks to Ripple, my students will be receiving a Mircrosoft Surface Pro. We are so excited in my fifth grade classroom. Having this device will make everyones life easier. However, we would love to have some more accessories to go with it.
Having the Surface Arc Mouse and the Portable DVD drive, will allow us to use the Surface Pro even more.
If my students don't like touching the screen, they can use the mouse to maneuver the Pro. Sometimes we display our work using technology during math. Instead of drawing out the math problems with their fingers, they can use the mouse if it makes them feel more comfortable.
We will use the DVD drive when we watch DVDs. My students love watching "America: the Story of Us" for social studies. It works great with our standards. I can show the DVD on the computer using this drive.
Of course, the pencil monster has visited my classroom and we need more pencils. We use pencils every day to write, draw, measure, etc. Please help us replenish these please!
