This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a 6th-grade self-contained classroom in which each student has an IEP and struggles with some type of learning disability. My students are very tactile and also benefit from technological aids and assistance. They are very distractible, however when they are involved and focused on an activity or lesson plan they exhibit great enthusiasm.

My students all learn in very different ways and present a number of challenges socially and emotionally as well as academically.

I teach English Language Arts as well as Social Studies.

My Project

My school has tried to become very tech savvy. We have lots of technology including Apple TV to sync our devices straight to our Smart Board as well as a brand new iPad. I would like to get supplies for this new iPad so that it can be used in class by everyone!

By having both the Apple Pencil and the smart case we will be able to use our tablet to the best of its abilities and keep it safe!

With these supplies we will be able to complete and project math problems onto the board and use them in whole class settings and it will be fun for the students to get chances to use it in class!
