Help me give my students iPads for center time to strengthen fine motor skills and access all learners in my classroom, as well as provide my students with flexible seating and furniture to keep them engaged.
The practical use of iPads for young learners includes portability, simplicity, and intuitiveness. They are small and lightweight making them very appropriate for moving around a classroom. iPads are simple and intuitive which allows students to use them independently to further classroom lessons and/or to create more involved learning through age-appropriate apps. The ease of using an iPad makes activities and lessons more accessible to ALL students regardless of physical or cognitive limitations. There are different opportunities for all students to work in their zone of proximal development. This will allow our students to enhance their fine motor skills immensely and will allow them to work on kinesthetically forming letters and age-appropriate penmanship that will last for years to come. New furniture and flexible seating will also be a great way to include all students in the classroom and be sure all students have what they need to stay engaged in classroom lessons and access material. I am also asking for new games for my students to learn through play and communication, as well as a new office chair for my desk to create a visually appealing classroom for my students and a place for me to sit when teaching whole group lessons.Thank you so much for your generosity and consideration. My students and I are very appreciative and excited!
