My Students
We are a class of students with autism ranging from ages 5 to 8 years old. We have a classroom that makes sense to our roommates who are working on communication and behavioral goals and who often have sensory issues. Our students are at all different academic levels ranging from Intellectual disability to above general education levels. We are a busy, happy class who all share many laughs and celebrations.
My Project
My students are hands-on learners. They need multiple ways to experience a lesson. All of the items on this list will facilitate my special students' access to general education curriculum, in a way that makes sense to them.
I try to make my lessons engaging, even to the student who is learning to communicate with pictures.
Each lesson needs to be differentiated to various ability levels. The items on this list will help me achieve their learning goals. Thank you for this opportunity to share my project with you today.
