This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Adding graphic novels to my curriculum will greatly benefit my students, especially those who struggle with traditional text-heavy reading materials. My students have learning disabilities including Dyslexia that make reading difficult and diminish their enjoyment of reading. Visual storytelling improves comprehension, vocabulary acquisition, and overall enjoyment of reading.

I believe that having access to graphic novels will not only support my students' reading skills but also foster a love for reading.

My goal for this project is to provide my students with modern and classic novels in a graphic format to support their specific needs and foster a lifelong love of reading.
