Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
School supplies help pave the way toward academic success by providing children with the tools they need to begin learning. Studies show that children having school supplies of their own can improve grades, creativity, attitudes towards learning, behavior, peer relationships and self-image.
During this time of the year, we need to replenish supplies in our Kindergarten classroom.
All supplies will be used throughout our day for learning. We use our computers in Reading and Math and new headphones are needed as the wires are broken. Next, pencils for writing in our journals and sentence strips to write power words in reading.
All these materials will be used each day as I model on chart paper different examples for my students.
