In our classroom, students learn the Native language and culture of Hawaiʻi. Through various types of activities and exercises, students learn to acquire and continue the Hawaiian language. Being that our Native language was almost extinct at one point in our history, it is of utmost importance to teach students to read, write, listen to, and speak the Hawaiian language.
Through the utilization of the three student laptops requested in this project, students will be able to access the many digital resources available online for all learners.
By providing access to these resources, it is my hope that students will be able to acquire the Hawaiian language to the best of their ability. E ola mau ka ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi - May our Native language live on.
