This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our high school serves a diverse community where students come from various backgrounds, often with bilingual or English language learner (ELL) needs. As a result, our teachers face the challenge of ensuring equitable access to quality education while catering to these unique linguistic and academic requirements. This challenge is especially pronounced in science education, where comprehension and engagement are crucial for success.
Access to diverse and customizable curricular materials is essential for addressing the unique needs of our high school students, especially those who are bilingual or English language learners.
By providing us with the requested funding, you will empower our educators to create an inclusive, engaging, and effective learning environment that fosters academic success and bridges the achievement gap in high school science education.
