My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. This year especially, I know that they are going through so much more that is completely out of their control. Having experienced Hurricane Harvey, many of them are still out of their homes.
My students' organizational materials to keep our centers ready and hands-on activities available for immediate use.
I would like for my students to have the opportunity to be able to explore their centers and hands-on activities with little assistance. I would like organizational bins and materials to make our classroom more kid-friendly and make our materials easily accessible to them.
My Project
We currently have books in buckets and in small bins which sometimes cause our books to get damaged easily and its harder for our students to choose books.
We need books shelves and an organizational station so the kids can easily access their books and learning center materials.
It's hard to keep things organized when we do not have enough shelving units that the kids can easily use. I would like for the center bins to be easily accessible for them and bookshelves would help out a lot. The shelves would also help save space and give the students more of an open environment in the classroom.
