My Project

My students are in grades K-3 and have multiple disabilities. Almost all of my students use wheelchairs, they are all non-speaking, and they are working on foundational fine motor skills.

I noticed last year that some of my students like to color and paint.

This means we need tools to make those activities accessible to them! While going through what I had in my room, I noticed a lot of the markers and paint were dried out. We also only had one easy-grip handle. I would love to build my supplies: paint, paint brushes and stamps, new markers, Easy Grips, adapted markers, etc. so my students can color and paint with less support. I have included letter paint stamps, which will also be great for my students learning to identify their names.

I have included some vibrating teethers, an extension cord, mats, and a bubble machine as well. These are all necessities in my room and will be much needed as the new school year rolls around to make my space safe, functional, and engaging.
