Accessible Adventures: Books Every Child Can Feel & See
Help me give my students accessible books through braille, textures, and sensory elements. This collection supports diverse learning needs, turning every page into an opportunity for engagement, growth, and joy. With your help, every child can be included.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how curious, resilient, and joyful my students are. Each one of students learns in their own unique way, touch, sound, movement, or visual cues! They truly inspire me every day with their determination and smiles.
This diverse collection of adapted books, featuring braille, tactile elements, ASL supported, and AAC friendly materials—will help me to meet them where they are, make reading accessible, and open new doors to communication and understanding.
With these resources, my students will be able to truly engage with stories, build language skills, and feel included in the magic of reading, no matter how they experience the world.
