This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are emergent readers in a self contained classroom setting. As a result, engaging with grade level curriculum is challenging.
Emergent readers can still access grade level material!
Multiple instructional modalities allow my students to access and enjoy learning.
Self regulation is a key component of learning experiences. Often times, my students struggle to remain engage in lessons when learning barriers combine with self management challenges. Desk bands will greatly help as well as sensory fidgets and headphones. We will use all materials to work on self regulation and access to literacy.
