My Students

In the words of Aristotle, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”. I’ve been blessed with an opportunity to help my students strengthen their communication skills despite their different abilities. Whether they are engaging in aural rehabilitation or learning a new language system, my students deserve the opportunities to excel and become independent thinkers but more so independent communicators. Giving them the chance to have their voices heard is my ultimate goal. These students strive to succeed in their instructional environment whether it is in person or at home learning remotely. My students are from culturally diverse- low-income households across The Bronx and will benefit from any support possible.

During these times of uncertainties, my students have proven to be resilient- They unwillingly accepted the challenges and are demonstrating they too can adapt to changes.

They are RESILIENT! It is through their resilience that I am truly motivated to seek the best possible resources for them. They are concrete and visual learners who benefit from interactive lessons and additional endless possibilities offered by resources created by like minded individuals- EDUCATORS!

My Project

As we continue to navigate the world of remote learning without an end in sight, my students are in dire need of engaging and interactive resources that can be adapted and tailored to their specific individual needs. While some of my students can adapt easier than others to learning at home, one fact still remains:

All of my students are visual learners who benefit from from a multi-sensory approach to learning which includes but is not limited to the manipulation of pictures, sounds and other crucial aspects offered through digitized resources.
