Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All students should be able to access content, but students come to school with different experiences and exposure and backgrounds. In my classroom this year, I have 22 students with diverse needs. 7 students in my classroom are English learners. I also have 3 students that mainstream into my classroom for writing, phonics, and math.
A color printer will help me provide more visual aids of real people, animals, places, symbols, and other content we are studying.
Providing visual aids is more engaging for all students and can build vocabulary by helping students associate a picture to a word. It can help even those with limited English to gain access to content.
