My Project

Due to a massive budget shortfall caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, our school had to cut personnel and classroom supplies. Those fortunate enough to be employed at our school must cover the additional burden of fully stocking our rooms.

This project will provide culturally responsive and accessible literature reflecting our diverse classroom community and sensory tools for our divergent learners. As well as graphic novels of some of our curriculum content so that our developing English Language Learners have access to the same rigorous instruction.

As a Title I school, many of our students show up with few standard classroom supplies such as pencils, binder paper, sheet protectors, whiteout, glue sticks, craft paper, and organizational supplies.

This project will ensure that our ELL students meet their basic classroom needs without question or hesitation. It provides stability and consistency, and comfort within their classroom community.
