it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In first grade most of our learning involves hands-on and social experiences. But there are exciting things that we can do with shared technology too!
With an interactive display board students can clearly access content (through videos, presentations, writing and images), hear high quality audio, and participate in the learning experience through drawing, highlighting words, and collaborating onscreen in real time.
This ViewSonic interactive display board mirrors the content from my laptop screen and allows me to project wirelessly so that students don't have to trip over cables or have their views blocked by projector carts. The display is large and clear and easy for all to access, and the high quality sound will eliminate the need for additional speakers or microphones for students who have trouble hearing. This display board will be mounted on a sturdy rolling cart which allows us to move it to different areas of the classroom depending on what what are using it for, as well as to share it with other classrooms and staff at our school who don't have access to this technology.
The interactive component of the display board opens up a world of learning opportunities for my students. With a touch screen, students can participate in the learning experience by highlighting words as we read, writing and sharing their ideas, and using digital manipulatives to show their math thinking. The possibilities are endless!
