My students need hands-on materials to learn pre-academic literacy skills such as a twist and turn sorter, sorting boards, and discovery boxes.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Rivero's classroom raised $241

My Students
Learning is so much fun! Learning academic skills such as colors and shapes with hands-on materials motivate young learners.
The students in my classroom are 3-5 year old boys and girls with special needs.
Students in my classroom are usually experiencing school for the first time. They are very curious, happy, and eager to learn. Demographically, students come from local Hawaii families as well as military families.
My Project
The items that I have selected for my students are hands-on materials that promote the learning of numbers, colors and shapes through exploration and play. It will allow students to learn through a natural experience! While the student interacts with the hands-on puzzles and toys he/she will gain valuable knowledge! For example, the twist and turn sorter will allow students to learn color skills as well as use their fine motor skills to strengthen their hands to get them ready for writing and cutting! Also, the discovery boxes will allow students to predict what shape or color they will discover then actually pull out a shapes or color! How fun!!!
This classroom is usually the first experience students have in school!
Why not help start their learning experience off with great memories of school! The fun, eager students in this classroom have so much potential and these hands-on materials will enable them to reach their full potential through exploration and play!
