My Students

I currently teach a total of fifty-seven students - a collection of two homeroom classes. I am lucky enough to teach math, science and social studies. I love that my students enjoy conducting science experiments and learning new math concepts. I enjoy seeing these students develop or continue a love of learning while helping them reach their full potential. I also love watching my students embrace a challenge of learning something new while maintaining an “I Can” attitude! Many of my students complain about the current desks we have- they are old, warped and they don’t really allow for great collaboration opportunities. The new tables would provide an awesome atmosphere to my compassionate, creative and enthusiastic students!

My Project

I aim to promote the ultimate “teamwork” experience in my classroom! With new tables, students will have the best opportunity to collaborate during engaging science lessons, work together to solve complex mathematical problems, have chances to compete in STEM activities and have real “table talks” about history!

Right now, my students have old desks that have to be adjusted daily with an allen wrench.

This is difficult because a lot of the screws are stripped. It would be ideal to have tables so science experiments can be completed without the desks causing a mishap!
