Many of our students come from low-income families with limited resources. They are eager to learn and are sweet kids. It is our goal to provide resources and supplements to give every student the best education possible. We also strive daily to give them love and a fun learning environment.
These years are such a valuable time in a child's life.
We are learning to write, read, draw, how to share, how to be good friends, and how to control our behavior. Our students range from EC to ready to read. We celebrate every small victory according to the student such as stickers, treat boxes, candy, free reading center, etc.
The pandemic puts many restrictions on our normal activities. We are working hard to make things as safe and fun as possible. We are doing lots of hands-on activities in our core subjects.
My Project
We are requesting new center manipulatives for our small groups. The magnetic chips and wands will be used to build and segment words. The letter blocks and magnetic letter tiles will be used to build new words. The touch and read center will allow the students to blend words. The alphabet beads will help with letter recognition and fine motor skills.
We are getting back to the basics of learning with letters and sounds.
The resources we are requesting will be a tremendous asset to our students. We are trying to prepare them not only to read but also for first grade.
