Our school is a five-star Preschool Facility located in the diverse City of Durham. I am a PreK lead teacher and I also manage the Individualized Education Program of some of my students.
Teaching preschool is a lot of fun.
I have very energetic and inquisitive preschoolers in my classroom. Our mission is to prepare our kids for kindergarten. Meaningful activities in a print rich and educational environment are catered to the kids to meet their individual and learning needs. Children develop and grow and learn life skills that will make them successful in their life!
Thus, providing them the materials that would help meet their needs is very important.

My Project
These ABC literacy books and materials that I am requesting for my students would help them learn and identify the different alphabets and their sound. Each week, we have a letter that we focus on. While learning print concepts , the Sound Box books are great materials, as well, to use for the kids to learn and get introduced with words that begin in a letter sound. Once purchased, the books and magnetic boards with letters will be placed in the different centers in the classroom, mainly at our Reading Center and kids will have an access to read them. On the other hand, the laminating sheets that I have requested are for the instructional materials that I intentionally make for the kids either for whole group and small group activities.
