This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students perform far below grade level. One third grader cannot identify letters of the alphabet or their related sounds. Instruction via standard methods does not work for these students with developmental delays: I am requesting materials that will help me plan lessons that are adapted to learning through use of manipulatives and kinesthetics rather than filling out worksheets.
Resources such as tactile alphabet cards and alphabet bean bags will provide my special needs students with the resources for fun, creative, and imaginative lessons to learn basic alphabet skills via games and engaging activities.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
