Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m a preschool special education teacher in a Title I school, and for over 10 years, I’ve had the joy of working with amazing young learners with unique needs and big hearts. Many of my students are just beginning their journey with letters, sounds, and communication and for them, learning happens best through hands-on, engaging play. I’m requesting a few joyful learning tools to help support their growth: an Ice Cream Letter Recognition Toy Set, a Dinosaur Alphabet Toy Set, a Learning Letters Activity Center, and lots of stickers for encouragement and celebration. These tools will not only teach letter recognition but also help with social interaction, fine motor skills, and early communication, critical milestones for many of my students, especially those with autism or limited language.
In our classroom, a toy isn’t just a toy, it’s a bridge to learning, a spark of confidence, and a reason to smile.
