Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The majority of my students come from low income families, yet they become extremely excited about coming to school to learn about new things everyday. My students are sooo special they light up the class with their smiles and bring in tons of learning energy. My school is considered to be a Title I school. We share our campus with a church. The area is very quite and friendly. I spend majority of my earnings on my students buying educational things.

My Project

This tablet will help us to accomplish our weekly goals. My scholars weekly goal is to complete 15 activities on ABC mouse for 45 minutes. Research studies have shown learning gains when children use ABC mouse for approximately 45 minutes a week, which is the equivalent of competing 15 ABC Mouse learning activities.

The reviews I have read from ABC mouse say that the scholars will pick up on their letters faster, and apply phonics faster.

But over all ABC Mouse is more than just high test scores, because the results that the scholars will get not only benefit them academically, but also give them self-confidence to love school and to love learning.
