My students need letter recognition learning center, learn the alphabet playdough mats, alphabet learning locks, magnetic letter builders, and alphabet picture magnets.
Every day I am blessed to work with 21 amazing four-year-olds that come into my classroom eager to learn. My students are considered "at risk." They come to school needing structure, fun, and love. Every day, we are busy learning through small groups and interacting in centers.
My kids are low income, rural children who were tested and determined to be at-risk by the school district.
In my district, there are six child development centers that focus on meeting the needs of the at-risk children.
My Project
My students work hard during our small group and center time so magnetic learning letters, alphabet centers, trace and write alpha bet center, alphabet dough mats and floor puzzle which will help enhance my students learning of letters and phonics.
We are working to build future readers and all of these materials help to enhance reading skills.
Children learn best by play, when materials are in centers they are able to not only play, but learn at the same time. By the end of prekindergarten we want children to be familiar with letters and sounds, these materials will help my students grow in their learning.
Not only are we teaching our students to love learning, we are learning social skills everyday in our classroom. These materials will help them to learn how to share and work together.
