Each year in kindergarten, we count down the last 26 days of school with an ABC Countdown. Starting with A, we do fun things each day associated with each letter of the alphabet. We end the year with Z as students "Zoom" off to first grade.
Students have the absolute best time participating in the alphabet countdown!
Some of the days in the countdown require students to bring in items from home and many students are unable to do this. This project will help provide items for the ABC Countdown for all students so no one feels left out!
Letter F in the ABC Countdown is for Flashlights! We will turn off the classroom lights and use flashlights to learn all day. Letter G is for Glow Day. We will wear neon colors and glow sticks. We will have lots of fun doing glow-in-the-dark activities and we will even have a dance glow party! Letter L is all about Limbo. We can't wait to work on our gross motor skills as we do the Limbo! We will continue our fun-themed days with learning activities focusing on pirates, princesses, and more! The last part of ABC Countdown includes Quiet as a Mouse day (dress like a mouse, work quietly and take a virtual field trip to Disney World), Sunglasses Day (wear your sunglasses, read outside, and more!), YoYo Day, and Zipping off to First Grade. We cannot wait to start our ABC Countdown fun!
