ABC Countdown Fun!

Help me give my students amazing memories for the last 26 days of 3rd grade!

My Project

Third graders are wonderful human beings! They love to have fun and play together. We like to do an ABC countdown to the summer for them each year. The 26th day starts with A and we make Art projects together (the full list for this year is below).

This is a great way to reward kids for a year of hard work, and to take time to do something fun with their peers and strengthen social emotional skills.

Each day we will take time to play with one another and use the resources to strengthen creative play skills and social skills playing with others. For instance, creating a chalk mural together on C day, and having jump rope challenges on J day, learning a magic card trick on M day, working together on Origami for O day, a class treasure hunt on T day, and finishing the year dressed as zombies for Z day! (These are just a few examples, the full list of days is below).

It promotes togetherness and classroom stewardship at a time of year when the sunny weather has kids longing to be elsewhere and difficult behaviors often arise. It is a way to keep our team strong and finish with fun and laughter!
