This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom carpet is so important. A carpet offers flexible seating for energetic kindergarteners. The classroom carpet is the heart and soul of a classroom. This carpet is where we will gather to have our morning meetings to get ready to start the day. It is where new concepts are introduced and explored and where we sit to go on book journeys. But mostly, it is that one special place where everyone feels welcome and everyone knows that something new and exciting is about to take place. It is where we spend a large part of our day discovering and making friendships. A classroom carpet fosters learning, creativity, and community.
