My Project

Coming into Kindergarten can be a scary time for some kids! There are a lot of things to learn and so much to see. There are rules and expectations and big classrooms with a lot going on. Not all kids learn the same and that is why I like to use hands on learning and manipulatives to support different learning styles and help every child feel welcome and succeed! Most kids love playdough and this is what we will use to help us to learn our letters and to help build strength in our little fingers for pre-writing skills. Many students have come from daycare or Preschool and have spent a lot of time being kids and playing. The games and the dinosaurs that I have on my list can help the students have fun while learning through play. When we write our name, how much fun would it be to have fun erasers to help us learn from our mistakes and also learn that it's okay to make mistakes. My goal is to use these items to help both with learning and with helping our little bodies focus and to look forward to being in the classroom.
