My Project

One of the hardest parts of running a school library is trying to keep the book collection current. New books are published all the time, and it can be difficult to find the best new books for my students. Junior Library Guild offers well-curated collections of new titles for school libraries via a monthly service; a JLG subscription would ensure a regular stream of new, interesting books for my students.

The best way to build literacy is by getting students to read independently.

A JLG subscription provides exciting new books every month, which means that more and more of my students will have the chance to choose from the "New Book" section of my library. These engaging new titles will get more of my kids reading -- and they more they read, the more likely they are to read.
