My Students

We strive to sing, move, and play everyday. We use the barred instruments to help our understanding of rhythm and melody as well as improvise where the students get to create their own pieces. We believe that Music allows students to create and think outside of the box which supports our core classes

My students are hardworking and creative.

Many are involved in after school clubs and other enrichment activities. Our students frequently stay with us all the way through 6th grade which allows them the opportunity to develop strong relationships with their peers and teachers.

My Project

Our students use barred instruments to explore and create their own melodies. They are able to accompany themselves in singing and are able to play melodies and complete songs on the instruments. Two of our grade levels present a program for their parents that use a folk tale and use the instruments as the sound effects of the story.

Your donation will help us get closer to our goal of each student having their own xylophone to play in class.

Working independently will grow their problem-solving skills and allow their creativity to take flight.
