My 7th grade students are bright, energetic, and ready to learn. We are excited to be using or new Language Arts curriculum this year and hope that it includes the novel A Wrinkle In Time.
The majority of students at my school come from low income families but have hope for a bright and successful future.
My 7th grade students are kind and helpful. They work hard in the classroom and show hard, diligent work ethic as they do their best to get their assignments in on time.
My Project
With the movie A Wrinkle In Time coming out I really want to give my students an opportunity to read a book associated with a movie so we can compare and contrast the movie and the book to meet Common Core Standards.
Middle school is the time when students quit reading and I have got to find a way to keep that from happening so exposure to different reading genres for students is important for literacy growth.
Being able to read a sci-fi book in my class with students will allow them to explore another world of reading and just might hook some of those students who no longer like reading.
