Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are learning the love of reading. By providing them with a reading nook that is inviting, they can cuddle up with a good book and build on their reading levels all while being in a focused reading area. This provides my students with an safe space to explore different dreams and horizons while learning in a cozy atmosphere. We need a rug, floor seats, bean bag chairs and pillows to create this reading nook.
The goal is to give my students a place that is inviting and will help them to connect to books in the classroom.
Many students don't have the opportunity to cuddle up and read at home and this will allow them the chance to grow in a way that will be monumental to their educational journey.
