My Project
We have almost made it to the end of school and I have learned something about our kids that I hadn't realized before, they love color everywhere! I have always used interactive notebooks for note taking and practicing skills. When I find something to print out for them to put in their notebooks, I have always done it on plain white printer paper. A few months ago, I forgot to take blue printer paper out of the copier from a project I had printed and their notes came out blue. I didn't want to waste the paper so I decided we would use it anyway. The kids loved it! They asked why I hadn't been using it all year.
I have used up almost all of my supply of colorful paper!
Everything I have copied for our notebooks since then has been on everything except white. The kids know exactly what notes I am talking about when I mention the color. It has helped them pay more attention to what they are writing and be more successful.
Something else I started this year was making different math games and scavenger hunts. I didn't get to make all of the ones I wanted to so I need more colorful paper to finish those as well. I will also start teaching social studies next year, along with math, and I will be needing more paper for all the fun things I plan to make for our lessons.
With your help, I will be able to make learning fun and engaging with a world of colors!
