My Students

My students are a helpful and energetic bunch! They have been learning together since Kindergarten and are a close knit bunch, as often happens at a small school. They act more like brothers and sisters than classmates.

Students at our school come from at least a 20 mile radius because it is an extremely rural area.

Many don't have access to supplies that other schools might get due to the low number of students and lack of attention from the outside world. But we adjust and often spend our own money as teachers to get what we need.

My Project

We need a whiteboard that students can erase easily and put up magnetic tools to demonstrate their work. Currently our whiteboards are outdated, non-magnetized and ineffective. They were actually old shower boards! The whiteboards are hard to erase and so it is hard to see the information being presented.

Getting a new whiteboard would help me present materials to students more effectively and help students see what is written and also use it to present their own work.

Please help us update our classroom so my students will be able to show me what they can do on the board and help each other. A new whiteboard will also help students stay organized and know the plans for the day.
