My Project

Students come with a variety of needs. I am asking for help purchasing wobble stools to help students who have extra wiggles, focus while learning and testing in the classroom.

By incorporating wobble stools in my classroom, I will be able to accommodate my students who have ADHD, ADD, and ASD, who need the sensory stimulus of wiggling and moving while learning.

I have purchased small fidgets and was given two wiggle cushions for my classroom, but I have found many students benefit from flexible seats to help them focus and learn!

My current group of students have had to go through school during COVID their whole elementary career. They didn't have a regular school experience and, with that, missed vital skills and classroom expectations such as sitting still for long periods of time. At no fault of their own, these students were never conditioned to sit still and because of that, they struggle to focus and show their best capabilities when they sit for long periods of time. My class of wonderful 4th-graders has grown so much over the year in math in the morning, but by the afternoon, struggle to stay focused during language arts. My hope is that providing wobble stools will allow students to better stay focused and finish the school year strong, as lots of testing is ahead of us!
