A Winter Bakery

Help me give my students dramatic play items to create and play in their own winter bakery!

My Project

The dramatic play center has brought so much life and enjoyment into my classroom! I have seen my students be creative, create relationships, and use social-emotional skills with their peers, which was especially difficult for them after so much time learning from home. I also witnessed them using academic vocabulary from our lessons, saying the first letter of the different fruits and vegetables, counting, patterning, and sorting with the objects.

I would love for my students to have a new dramatic play center for winter: themed as a bakery!

My students already loved the foods in the farmer's market, so I know they would be so excited for a bakery theme! By using this theme, it can last for many months over the winter, and can use some academic vocabulary that we will be talking about in class as the season changes. They can practice measurement for recipes, counting and sorting, and, most importantly, continue their practice of peer relationships and social emotional skills while in their winter bakery!
