This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are unique and quite interesting. They are so special because they have been virtual students for over a year. They were so eager to return to school. Memories that would have been created at the end of second grade and most of third grade did not occur due to the pandemic.
So for most of my students, they have not been in school for almost two years.
My Project
I know my students will enjoy these resources as they extend their learning at home. For instance, the personalized tote bag will be used to carry all of their winter themed trinkets and treats. These materials will make a difference by having students use items that will help them create everlasting memories in fourth grade.
I would like to have a project funded and centered around the winter holidays in order to give them a glimpse of memories that have missed.
Students missed out on these experiences during the pandemic.
