My Students

My students are simply the best! The one thing that makes our classroom so special is our diversity! We love to celebrate our differences. Every child comes to school each day with different needs, but we all love to learn together. I am so lucky to get to spend my days teaching, learning and laughing with this class! I wish that you could spend a day in our class because I know you would never want to leave. Please consider helping us out. No donation is too small! Thank you!

My Project

As a teacher I believe the most important part of learning is to create a safe learning environment. I always want my students to feel at home! By working with parents, I continue to build the classroom community atmosphere. One of the most amazing ways that I have found to partner with parents is through the app SeeSaw. Students can post their work on their online journal and parents can go in and leave feedback and encouragement directly to their child. Parents have told me time and time again that so often they wonder what is going on in their child’s classroom, but with SeeSaw, they can see for themselves. My goal is to have more devices available to students so that they can easily, quickly, and effectively add items to their classroom journals. This new laptop will be a great tool to help connect parents to their children and will also help students to not only tell their parents what they learned in school but also show them!
